Bone augmentation in implant therapy

Often there is insufficient bone for the safe placement of implants. In this case it is necessary to regenerate the required bone by reconstructing the jaw with bone grafts. The application of microsurgical techniques increases success rates and reduces patient discomfort.

The need for bone augmentation is always diagnosed before any surgical intervention, during the treatment planning phase. Volumetric tomography Xray (also called CBCT) shows in great detail the existing bone in the area where implants are to be placed. The patient is informed in advance about the need for bone regeneration and the treatment for this area is organized accordingly.
